Your information. Its purpose. Your choices.
This policy explains how Jacob Roofing & Exteriors handles information through this website and related inquiries. It covers ordinary site visits, assessment requests and, where available, Roof Studio. It is not permission to use your information for unrelated marketing.

1. Who this policy covers
Jacob Roofing & Exteriors (Jacob, we, us) is the business responsible for the website information described here. This policy applies to visitors and people who contact us about roofing or exterior services. Other websites have their own privacy practices. A separately agreed project may require additional information and notices.
You can browse without requesting an assessment. Please do not put sensitive personal information in a URL, a general inquiry, or an uploaded photograph. We do not request Social Security numbers, payment-card details, medical information or insurance account credentials through these website forms.
2. Information collected and its sources
When you submit an assessment request, the form sends the information described below to our delivery system. A received confirmation means the system accepted the request, not that an appointment has been booked.
If you contact us through another available channel, we receive the details you provide in that communication. Do not include more information than is needed to explain the request.
- Assessment requests, when delivery is enabled: name, phone number, property ZIP, property type, service need, optional description, contact permission, submission time and a request identifier used to recognize retries.
- Referral information, when delivery is enabled: the first arrival path and full arrival address with its permitted campaign parameters (including Google, Microsoft, Meta or TikTok click identifiers and advertising keyword, match-type, device and campaign identifiers when present), the referring website, the time of first arrival, the number of pages viewed in that visit, the submission path, and the device screen size, browser language and time zone; and, recorded by our hosting provider at submission, the IP address, an approximate location derived from it and the browser identification string. The arrival context is kept in your browser's session storage for that tab only — not a cookie, not shared across sites, and cleared when the tab closes. These are stored with the request and included in the notification to the business. The site keeps this arrival context in memory, not a persistent cross-site tracking cookie.
- Site visits: hosting and network providers receive information such as IP address, requested URL, browser/request information and timestamps needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website. Fonts are delivered by this website, without a separate browser request to Google Fonts.
- Roof Studio, only where enabled: contact details including email, verification and consent records, ZIP, selected roof appearance, submitted photograph, editable/protected outlines, generated concepts, usage records and related assessment requests. Merely choosing a file locally is different from uploading it; follow the notice beside the upload action.
3. How information is used
Information is used to respond to your request, confirm property details and service availability, discuss possible next steps, and maintain the related correspondence. Technical information supports delivery, security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting. Request identifiers help avoid treating a retry as a new inquiry; referral details help identify which site entry or campaign produced a request.
Where Roof Studio is available, information also supports email verification, private project access, generation of the requested appearance concept, usage limits, error review and any assessment handoff you request. A generated appearance is not used to decide insurance coverage, credit eligibility or the structural condition of a home.
6. Calls, messages and contact permission
The assessment checkbox authorizes Jacob to call about the specific request. It is not an enrollment in recurring promotional texts, automated marketing calls, or another company's marketing list. Roof Studio separately asks permission for the described photo processing and contact about the concept.
You may ask us to stop optional follow-up using the privacy contact below or by telling the person contacting you. A request for no further contact does not require us to erase records that must lawfully be retained. This version does not offer a recurring SMS marketing program. Any future program must present its own terms, appropriate consent and working opt-out mechanism before enrollment.
7. Roof Studio photographs and concepts
Roof Studio is not currently available for live photo uploads or image generation on this website. A sample or local demonstration is not a completed generation for your property. Before live uploads are offered, the tool will explain the image provider, processing, retention period and deletion choices beside the upload action.
Submit only a photograph you are entitled to use. Avoid people, vehicle plates, house numbers, documents, neighbors' private spaces and embedded location details where possible. Do not climb onto a roof or enter an unsafe area to take a photograph. Review the selected image before upload.
No automatic thirty-day deletion promise applies to information you send by email or through a separate assessment request. Photo-project retention and deletion terms will be published before the live tool accepts photographs. For information already sent to Jacob through another channel, use the privacy contact below to request access or deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.
Where available, the project's delete control requests removal of that project. It does not by itself delete separately held inquiry or email records. Use the contact below for a broader information request.
8. Retention and security
Inquiry and correspondence retention depends on whether the request remains active, becomes a project, is needed to resolve a dispute, or must be retained for a legal, accounting or security purpose. Retention should be limited to those purposes; there is no single automatic thirty-day deletion promise for business records. You may ask about a record or request deletion using the contact below, subject to applicable exceptions.
We use safeguards intended to limit unauthorized access and protect information in transit and in storage. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Provider logs and backups can have different retention periods; we do not promise immediate removal from every backup.
9. Privacy requests, rights and appeals
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to the business and the information, you may have rights to confirm processing, obtain access or a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising or certain significant-effect profiling. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act has applicability limits, including a small-business provision; this notice does not claim that every statutory provision applies to every visitor or request.
Send a request using the privacy email or, when listed, the phone contact in this section. Describe the request and provide enough information to locate the relevant interaction, such as the email or phone used and approximate date. Do not send a government ID or sensitive documents with the initial request. We may seek proportionate information to verify identity or an authorized agent's authority, and may explain an applicable exception instead of disclosing another person's information. An account is not required to make a request.
Where the Texas Act applies, responses are due without undue delay and within forty-five days, with one additional forty-five-day extension when permitted and explained within the initial period. To appeal a refusal, reply to the decision or use the same privacy contact and identify it as a privacy appeal. Under that Act, an appeal decision and reasons are due within sixty days. If an appeal is denied, the response must include a way to complain to the Texas Attorney General. Applicable privacy rights may be exercised without unlawful discrimination.

10. Children
This site is intended for adults seeking property services, not children under thirteen. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so it can be investigated and appropriate deletion steps taken. Uploading a property photograph should not include identifiable children.
11. Policy updates
The date above identifies this version. Material changes in collection, use, recipients or choices require an updated policy and any additional notice or permission required by law. A policy update is not retroactive consent to unrelated processing.
